Art RecipesEdit

I thought about what I could contribute as an art recipe. The simple fact is that much of my work is already at the completed stage by the first time that I think of it. I don't typically do pre-sketches or pencil outlines for a drawing because I'd rather capture as many ideas as possible. All the time I spend working on a single idea is time I could be inventing new ideas and capturing them instead. I can always go back later and refine or revisit something, but a fleeting idea must be captured immediately or potentially be lost. So, I show here the immediacy of that process in a 60-second drawing with pictures of me drawing the work in progress. Most of my works that appear as this style are done in this way. They look more refined than this only because I'm not usually timing myself or holding a camera in one hand. -Devin
